Joseph Rivera of Baila Society and Melissa Ramirez from the Latino Commission on AIDS were invited to speak on Good Day NY this week and talk about both the Commission and the Bailando por una Causa event held at El Museo del Barrio on 10.4.11.

At about 1:50 in you’ll see some of my photos from the event that were shown live on TV! After that you’ll get to see the Dynamic Rockers break dance.  Great segment and great work by Salseek!

Thrilling performances last night at Bailando Por Una Causa on stage at Museo del Barrio.  Grateful to have had the opportunity to photograph these incredible dancers for such a great cause!

This is Nelida Tirado - she absolutely blew everyone away with her incredible Flamenco performance.  Nelida emanates all that is sexy, sensual and beautiful about this type of dance - she was amazing to watch!

As I mentioned Tuesday night I got to photograph, “Bailando Por Una Causa,” an amazing night of dance hosted by Baila Society to benefit the Latino Commission on AIDS.
Pictured here are Eddie Torres Jr. (left) and Joseph and Ahtoy of Baila Society (right).

Tomorrow night the talented dancers of Baila Society are hosting a very special evening called “Bailando Por Una Causa” (Dancing for a Cause) which will feature live Salsa, Hip-Hop, African, World Jazz, Tango, Flamenco and Contemporary dance performances to benefit the Latino Commission on AIDS.  The event is being held uptown at the Museo del Barrio and I am very excited to be photographing it.  If you live in New York, you should go!
Today Dayana Mendoza ~ Miss Universe 2008 did lots of promo to benefit the event.  She is so sweet and sooo gorgeous (of course!) and I took photos of her interview with En La Escena.  Full set on flickr including an impromptu dance performance by Joseph and Ahtoy of BASo!
